Get to Know Our Staff
Mandy
Mandy is one of our full-time hygienist. She graduated from hygiene school in 2004, but has worked with Dr. Prater for over 14 years. She enjoys working with kids and having fun with the patients in the office. Her hobbies are gardening, fishing and most of all spending time with her husband Dave and children, Noah and Jillian.
Brianna
Brianna is one of our orthodontic assistants. She has worked with Dr. Prater for over 11 years! She enjoys working with kids by making them feel comfortable and being apart of creating their new smiles. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband of over 14 years, Brian, and their beautiful 8 year old daughter, Bailey. Brianna enjoys music, vacationing in Colorado, riding dirt bikes and 4-wheelers, but most of all, watching her daughter play sports.
Shelly
Shelly is our orthodontic treatment coordinator and financial account manager. She provides orthodontic consultations as well as other administrative duties. She is outgoing and loves to talk to our patients and parents! She loves working with kids! Shelly enjoys scrap-booking and spending time with her husband Earl, two handsome sons, Brandon and Sean and her dog named Coco.
Monica
Monica is another one of our orthodontic assistants. She has been a dental assistant for over 13 years and has been working with Dr. Prater for 8 years. Monica really enjoys being able to help our patients transform their smiles! She is married to Keith, and they have a little boy, Dayton, and a dog, Izzy. Her hobbies are: listening to music, working out, reading and spending time with her family.
Becky
Becky is another one of our full-time hygienists here at Dr. Prater's office. She has been a hygienist since 2004, and has been with the office since May of 2011. Becky's favorite part about working at Dr. Prater's is seeing a nervous or frightful child leave with a smile, knowing she is helping to instill lifelong good oral habits. She lives in Raymore with her husband, 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 3 chickens!
Cherie
Cherie has been a dental assistant for 18 years and of that she has worked for Dr. Prater for 5 years. She's very outgoing and talkative, and loves getting to know the patients, what their interests are and what activities they do. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting and spending time with her wonderful 11 year old daughter, Paige.
Bridget
Bridget is our part-time hygienist. She graduated from UMKC in 2001, and has been working for Dr. Prater since May of 2011. She loves reaching out to kids by giving them proper hygiene instructions for optimal dental health. She enjoys reading and scrap-booking at home with her husband and 2 kids.
Tracy
Tracy is our case manager and works at the front desk. She is very friendly and really enjoys greeting our patients and making them feel comfortable when they come in. She loves being able to talk with the patients and their parents and getting to know each and every one of them. Tracy also works closely with insurance companies to ensure our patients get the most from their insurance benefits. In her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog, Rudy, on long walks, reading and watching movies.
